Benedetta Rappa Verona

Benedetta Rappa Verona
Hailing from Biella, Piedmont, “Betta” came to M&G two years ago with a great knowledge of food, wine and Italian culture. She is a graduate of one of Italy’s top schools for languages and tourism management and traveled to Oregon to write her tourism thesis simply because so many of her classmates chose cities in California. Needless to say, Betta fell in love with food-friendly Portland and now breaks up her time working for M&G in Portland and leading M&G expeditions across Southern Europe. Betta also studied German for many years, and has a big passion for Germany, Switzerland and several of the Northern European Countries. Bavaria and Rhineland here we come! Besides German, Betta also speaks Italian, English and French.

Laura Pagano

Laura Pagano
In her four years with M&G, Laura Pagano has become an irreplaceable tour guiding force. Laura has a great passion for Italy, a complete understanding of its history and a profound love for its culture. Laura studied languages and literature at Rome University before taking a post graduate degree in tourism business management. Laura is famous for her sense of humor and saint-like patience, but what we love most about her is her giant, southern Italian heart. Laura speaks Italian, English, French and German.

Anna Melchiori Ranghiasci

Anna Melchiori Ranghiasci
Anna was born in Italy and moved to Peru with her family shortly after birth. As a young girl, she followed her father, the late Marquis Giorgio Melchiori Ranghiasci - a physicist and geologist - on work trips all over South America. Once back to Italy Anna took degrees in both international studies and geography. Later, she started her love affair with art by restoring ancient paintings in her ancestral palace in Central Italy. She then studied mosaic restoration in Ravenna before taking an apprenticeship from the most famous painting restorer in Italy. Anna now owns her own art restoration company and works as both a restorer and art appraiser. More recently she has lent her art knowledge to M&G expeditions as a consultant on new art itineraries. The mother of M&G co-founder Alessandra, Anna carries the title of countess and is rightfully proud of her long family tradition. She speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and German.
