Why China, why now?

From its glimmering cosmopolitan cities to its hard rural realities, China is undergoing a major transformation. Since his first trip to China nearly 20 years ago M&G co-founder Rick Montgomery has travelled to all of China's 28 provinces as an expedition leader, magazine writer and philanthropist. Over the years he has become friends with Shanghai tycoons, Tibetan monks, rural rice farmers and university professors...all unique personalities you will meet on your M&G small group expedition to China.

It's your choice: scratch the surface of China on a cheap "volume tour" or go with M&G off the path to learn about what is really happening in Mainland China.

For 2009 we are offering and adventurous 15-day SECRETS OF CHINA expedition deep into China's wild west. For those interested, this trip will include an optional service program that will allow you to write off part of the trip's overall expense.

We are also offering our usual 10-day intellectual study mission to Beijing, Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta.

What is a Service Element?

M&G Expeditions is partnering with the ecological and humanitarian relief non profit, Global Roots (globalroots.org) to offer a service feature in all of our trips that visit relatively fragile or impoverished places. This is a chance for you to save money on your trip while helping the people whose backyards you will visit.
