Enjoy
a good walk: M&G Expeditions are created for
active travelers who are capable of walking at least three
miles a day at a leisurely and unassisted pace. All M&G
travelers must also be able to handle their own luggage over
short distances.
Baggage
Handling: we recommend that our passengers pack as
light as possible. Each guest should be able to handle their
own luggage over short distances. Many properties used by
M&G, such as ancient castles and country inns, do not
have bellmen. Baggage and personal effects are at the owner's
risk throughout the tour. Check with your airline carrier
for baggage restrictions applicable to your international
flights.
Accomodation: many properties used by M&G in
Europe, such as ancient castles and country inns, are family-run,
quaint hotels. All rooms have a private bath but some may
be smaller than American style accommodations. In Asia and
Africa M&G always uses four-star or the best available
accommodation in each region.
Passports
and Visas: valid passports are required for travel
to all M&G destinations; check with M&G for the latest
visa requirements and assistance. Most countries require that
the expiration date of a passport does not come before six
months after your planned return to the States.
Children:
children under the age of 12 are not permitted except for
private groups. Any individual under 18 must be accompanied
by an adult unless otherwise approved by M&G management.
Group
Size: M&G Scheduled Tours have a limit of 20
passengers. Private groups can be larger.
Itineraries:
hotels and sightseeing are subject to change due to unforeseen
circumstances. M&G reserves the right to amend the order
of sightseeing or make changes as each situation requires.
Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned; however,
alterations to itineraries may occur after the final itinerary
is issued. Uncompleted portions of a tour itinerary are not
cause for a refund.
Guides:
M&G reserves the right to substitute any tour guide should
the situation require it.
Health:
trip members are held responsible for being in sufficient
good health to undertake the trip.
Disabilities:
any pre-existing physical, mental or emotional disability
that may require attention during a tour must be reported
in writing before the beginning of the tour. Each tour member
must complete and return our Medical Information Form,
which will be included in the passenger information packet.
Air
Transportation: not included unless specified. All
tour prices that include airfare are quoted with economy class
seats. Should you cancel or change your air reservation before
or after your departure, cancellation penalties different
from the above stated may apply. Local Air reservations will
not be confirmed until a copy of the passenger's passport
is received.
Wars/Acts
of God: M&G reserves the right to cancel any
tour in the event of a world event which adversely affects
the personal safety of M&G clients.
Claims and Refunds: except for verifiable
extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed
tour services. Please see our Limits on Responsibility. For
verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received
in writing within 30 days of the termination of the tour and
be accompanied by supporting documentation and/or a statement
from the Tour Operation Company verifying the claim. Any adjustment
considered will be based on the actual cost of the services
involved and not on a per diem basis. Adjustments will not
be made for unused sightseeing trips or meals. M&G will
not accept any liability for any claims not received within
30 days of the termination of the tour in question.
Prices
and Arrangements: quoted tour prices include planning
and operational charges and are based on current rates of
exchange, tariffs and taxes as of September, 2009. M&G
reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased
costs, tariffs and taxes, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign
exchange rates.
